The Department of Computer Science and Engineering with its cohesive team of faculty members, offers a sound program at the UG as well as the PG levels. The curriculum is a blend of the conventional and the radical. It is updated regularly to keep up with the growing demands and the changing trends of the software industry and research laboratories. To cater to the growing demand of software professionals from global Organizations, PPDCET has setup CSE branch in 2008 with the intake 0f 60.
Today Information Technology has become pervasive, while its parent, Computing Science, has become hard to find. Instead of becoming specialty providers for the IT industry or mass producers of vocationally trained personnel, our Department has chosen to take to take the road less traveled. We continue to emphasize the pristine science that lies under the diverse aspects of computing. This is the single most important feature of the education offered here.
There are several ways to present the canonical core of computing science. Over the years we have developed a distinctive style and method that bridges the theory-practice divide while remaining grounded in the core. Technology changes rapidly, especially in the field of computing, whereas the science, if it changes at all, does so much more gradually. Those who are clear and thorough about the fundamentals can adapt to rapid changes in technology relatively easily. We want the education imparted to our students to be the basis of a lifetime of learning.
We are committed to the free software and open source movements, as typified by Linux. We believe that reading and modifying open source code is an extremely good learning tool and an effective initiation into the culture of practical software development. We have a large Departmental library accessible to all students. Jayakar Library, the central University library, has a very large and varied collection of booksandjournals.
Student-teacher relations are informal and friendly a lack of hierarchy is very much a part of our tradition. Alumni teach many of our courses, motivated by a sense of gratitude for a place that has given them their education, and some of them are prized as our best teachers.

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is one of the core Departments of Paladugu Parvathi College of Engineering & Technology. It was established in 2008 with an intake of 60 members to initially offer Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science & Engineering.

In computer science you will study and apply your knowledge in understanding what computers are, as how to program them, tools to write a program, the rules when converting the written program understandable by the computers, the interface between the computer and the user, the computer graphics, computer networking, managing the software database, software engineering and testing them efficiently and more. The Department also places emphasis on all the important aspects of computers such as High speed networks, Soft Computing, Algorithm Design, Network Security, Advance database systems, Theory of computation and many more. The Department also takes initiative to improve the soft skills, analytical capabilities and verbal communication of the students so that they can face the competition in the corporate world confidently.
Now computers are used everywhere to reduce the manpower requirements, easy of computation and to improve the efficiency so the students of the Computer Science and Engineering are highly demanded by the recruiters of the top companies. Depending upon the interest of the student, he/she may choose to go for higher studies or if employed can choose to do research, development, design, production, application, testing or management in the Information Technology industry. So the scope for computer science is endless.
The excellent infrastructure, teaching faculty of the best kind of the Department ensuring quality education such as interaction among students, parents and staff, along with a Training and Placement Cell ensures a bright future to its students.
